The next Darwin Gamers LAN is now available for sign up!

The second LAN event from the newly formed Darwin Gamers is on! Here are a few things you should know…

Entry Fee:

Make sure you take advantage of our early bird special and secure your spot at the LAN for just $30!

Early Bird Special:

Register your spot, and pay online via PayPal, on Meetup and pay just $30.

At the Door:

If paying “at the door” the price is $40.

Time and Place:

Darwin Community Arts Centre: Shop 26, Malak Shopping Centre. Malak, NT 0812

Starting at 10am and going until late.

What to bring:

• Gaming computer and gear (mouse mats are advised)
• Headphones for sound (no speakers)
• Ethernet cable (cables are available at the event – $10 deposit required)

Games List:

TBA Closer to the date.

Food and Drink:

At 10am there will be bacon and egg breakfast burgers available! Fuel up for set up! Cost: $5

In the evening Gourmet BBQ Burgers will also be on sale. Cost: $5

Soft drinks and water will be available at the venue. Cost: $2 per drink.

Bundle Offer: Breakfast Burger and BBQ Burger (Breakfast and Dinner!) + 2 drinks for just $10. Bargin!

Payment Options:

EFTPOS (minimum $10) will be available.

Cash will also be accepted (please do your best to bring correct change for drinks).

Game Backups:

Current Steam (and other) backups of games will be available where possible at the event.

House rules:

• Only legitimate copies/backups of games will be provided.
• No inappropriate content or behaviour will be tolerated.
• Darwin Gamers LAN’s are alcohol free.
• Internet is available, however, any misuse will not be tolerated.

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who attended and a big thank you to everyone who helped out on the day.

This was a very successful event from our point of view and it was great seeing lots of games being played.

Good size LAN, lots of Pizza, Great Music, some Ninja Warrior and lots games, oh yeah some new faces. Thank you to Red and TheCrane for checking us out.

I’ve decide to keep this wrap up short and sweet from a DGA team perspective as it would be great to have some comments and feedback from you the gamers and attendees of the event to let us know what you thought of this event. We want to know the good, the bad and anything else.

It is really important that your voice is heard because we run these events for you and want you to enjoy and bring more people to make it more enjoyable.

Next LAN Party

Keep a look out for our next LAN Party Event – DGA MMXii Delta which is on 25th August 2012 and the registration will be open 21 days out.

What a crazy month for me personally and the rest of the Admin team.

We have been so busy we are only posting this 1 day before the event.

Registration is already open so if you haven’t already registered please head over there now to register your place for the LAN Party and make your Pizza Selection.

After this LAN, Darwin Community Arts will be increasing their rate for us to hold events which means our pricing will have to remain at $20 per gamer to cover the venue. Any donations to help us out are very appreciated, however we believe for this year we can hold that entry cost.

DGA are still very eager to add more people who are interested in helping run and organise the LAN’s and have recently plastered the Darwin area schools with our new Poster to increase our exposure.

If you would like to go around and put up some of these posters please let us know.

So many things had to align for the massive delay we experienced during this event. However with the great assistance from the faithful few;
